What's Happening
The North Van Cares Foundation is excited to be hosting its, 2nd Annual Fundraising Gala in support of the North Shore community.
We're so excited to be able to bring you such a fun and exciting night!
Last year's gala was a crazy success, born from the simple idea that we ought to get together and celebrate our amazing community while raising money for local organisations.
This year's event is going to be even bigger, better with more cool stuff!
Gala Details
The event will be held at the Pipeshop in North Van’s super cool Shipyards district!
We have a local, North Van cover band that promises to keep you dancing the night away.
This year's event has a few surprises too that we're so, dang excited about! We can't wait for you to see what we have up our sleeves!

- Backpack Buddies
- Lookout Shelter

What to Expect
Expect the unexpected! This isn't your usual fancy pants gala. Our committee has been working hard to bring you an experience like no other.
Local artists and businesses from many different industries have been invited to, creatively, participate in what will be the most memorable night of the year!
Guests will enjoy complimentary appetizers/desserts, a silent auction, an amazing live auction and some really cool surprises in keeping with our Masquerade theme!
Don't get FOMO! People who waited too long last year were super disappointed to miss out!

The Event
In 2022 we hosted our first live event and, because everything we do is "extra" we decided a gala would be just the thing to bring the community together.
We were right! We packed the Pipeshop at North Van's Shipyard District and the event was an absolutely stunning success!
We were able to donate money to Backpack Buddies, North Shore Rescue, North Shore Black Bear Society and the Lookout Shelter!
This year we are adding The Centre (North Shore Volunteers for Seniors) to our list and we hope you'll join us for a wonderful evening.
Our theme this year is MASQUERADE BALL (think the darker side of Mardis Gras or the Venice Masquerade Ball) There will be prizes for the best costume, tons of give-aways, a silent auction and a live auction.

The MC
New for 2023, Firas Al-Tahan has graciously offered to fill in as our wonderful MC!
The Band
North Van based Dr. Jon's Committee will be the super, awesome, raucous, dance-til-you-drop band for this year's gala!
These guys really know how to get everyone up and moving and they're LOCALS! which is super cool since we love our North Van community and always want to find local talent to promote and support.
We have it on good authority that it's virtually impossible to stay seated while the band is playing so make sure you bring dancing shoes and stay hydrated!
